Liaoning Port Group achieved notable growth in the first half of 2023, with overall cargo throughput up 2.1% year-on-year and container throughput up 5.4%. Dalian Port was ranked second globally in the Container Port Performance Index 2025, driven by expanded routes including a new Middle East line and four Southeast Asia routes, boosting foreign trade container handling by over 8%. Other ports also saw strong performance: Yingkou port utilized the "Lia-Shanghai Express" to stabilize growth, Dandong's foreign trade container throughput soared by over 90%, and Panjin and Suizhong ports innovated and enhanced key routes. As a vital "North Grain to South" hub, the group supported food security with significant increases in soybean and corn handling. Bulk cargo operations also excelled, with record-breaking volumes of iron ore unloading, foreign trade steel exports, and coal shipments via a new Mongolia sea-rail channel. Auto exports thrived with new routes to Brazil and the Red Sea, achieving single-month records. These successes underscore Liaoning Port Group's commitment to innovation and efficiency in global trade.
